Sentric, an independent music publisher acquired by Believe in 2023, is seeking an Operational Insights Analyst to join the Revenue Optimisation Department. This role sits at the intersection of music data analysis and data architecture, combining infrastructure work with business intelligence delivery. You will maintain data structures and build pipelines and models that power reporting on royalties and rights. Working closely with the Rights, Royalties, and Insights teams, you'll act as both a creator of trustworthy data foundations and a translator of data into business decisions. Key responsibilities include: - Supporting revenue assurance activities by tracing discrepancies through source data and transformation logic - Partnering with business teams to translate audit questions into robust, reusable data structures rather than one-off queries - Tracking audit outcomes and contributing to the development of revenue assurance frameworks - Building and maintaining data models and transformation pipelines that convert raw rights, royalty, and catalogue data into analysis-ready tables in AWS and Snowflake - Providing input on schema design for reporting layers, applying database normalisation principles and referential integrity - Building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines that move data from source systems and royalty statement feeds into Snowflake via AWS S3 and Athena - Writing and troubleshooting SQL and Python-based transformations to process royalty and usage datasets - Building, maintaining, and iterating on dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) on curated, well-modelled data - Evaluating and piloting AI-assisted data tooling to accelerate insight delivery - Supporting engineering and product teams on upstream schema or system changes by investigating downstream impact - Presenting findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Sentric operates in 50+ countries with over 160 publishing experts worldwide. REQUIREMENTS: - 2 years' experience in analytics engineering, data analyst, or database-adjacent role, ideally within music, media, or entertainment - Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and window functions; exposure to query optimisation and schema definition (DDL, dbt) is a plus - Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) and cloud storage/query services (AWS S3, Athena); solid understanding of ETL/ELT transformations and database design principles - Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) - Some Python knowledge (pandas, boto3, Snowflake connector) for scripting, automation, and pipeline development is a plus - Comfort exploring and evaluating AI-assisted data tooling for reporting and analysis is a plus - Relevant certifications (Snowflake SnowPro Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) or portfolio of personal/academic projects involving SQL/Python, data modelling, or AI-assisted tooling is a plus - Strong communication skills; ability to translate technical data structures into clear business insight - Highly organised with strong attention to detail; comfortable owning both data infrastructure and analysis - Genuine interest in music rights, royalties, or the entertainment industry - Right to work in the UK
