Locus Robotics is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer to serve as the primary technical owner of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) fleet deployed at a customer warehouse in Southaven, MS. You will work Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM local time, embedded at the customer site to ensure peak operational performance. In this role, you will proactively monitor system health, robot activity, and task execution to maximize uptime and stability. You'll perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs on robotic hardware and software systems, conduct onsite testing and validation to support product development, and analyze operational data (throughput, units per hour, utilization) to generate actionable insights. You'll act as the primary liaison between customer operations and Locus internal teams, communicating issues, priorities, and improvement opportunities. You'll also support product validation by providing structured feedback on system performance and edge cases, help develop standard operating procedures and playbooks for future deployments, and optimize workflows to meet throughput targets and operational KPIs. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, robotics, automation, or technical customer-facing roles. You should have familiarity with warehouse operations (picking workflows, labor management, productivity metrics), hands-on troubleshooting experience or strong technical aptitude, and strong analytical skills. You must be comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments typical of early-stage product deployments, cross-functional collaboration, and self-directed problem-solving. Physical requirements include the ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and frequently bend, stoop, walk, and reach. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) are essential for engaging diverse audiences.
