Salary: USD 50,000 - 90,000 / annual
Locus Robotics is seeking an Onsite Support Engineer to serve as the primary technical owner of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) fleet deployed at a customer warehouse in Fort Worth, TX. You will work Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM local time, embedded at the customer site to ensure peak operational performance.
In this role, you will proactively monitor robot fleet health, task execution, and system stability to maximize uptime. You'll perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs on hardware and software systems, conduct onsite testing and validation to support product development, and analyze operational data (throughput, units per hour, utilization) to generate actionable insights. You'll also optimize workflows to meet throughput targets, support product validation by providing structured feedback on system performance and edge cases, and act as the primary liaison between customer operations and Locus internal teams.
Additionally, you will help develop standard operating procedures, best practices, and deployment playbooks for future customer rollouts, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational excellence across the organization.
You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, plus at least 1 year of hands-on experience in warehouse operations, robotics, automation, or technical customer-facing roles. Strong familiarity with warehouse workflows (picking, labor management, productivity metrics) is essential. You should have hands-on troubleshooting experience with hardware or software systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments—especially early-stage product deployments. Cross-functional collaboration, self-motivation, and ownership are critical. You must be comfortable working onsite daily, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequently bending, stooping, walking, and reaching. Excellent written and verbal English communication is required.
