Solcoa Industries is building next-generation American metalmaking, starting with rare earth processing. The company has developed proprietary chemistry to convert rare earth oxides into high-purity metals used in EVs, fighter jets, wind turbines, and data centers—cleaner, cheaper, and faster than conventional processes. They are now scaling to thousands of tonnes of annual production. As Office & Operations Manager, you'll be the operational backbone of this fast-moving industrial startup. You'll own day-to-day facility operations, serving as the first point of contact for candidates, customers, and investors, and the problem-solver the entire team relies on. Key responsibilities include: running daily office operations (supplies, deliveries, food programs, facilities); owning purchasing support (placing and tracking orders for parts and equipment, managing lead times, reconciling receipts); coordinating onboarding for new hires (workspace setup, equipment, badges, accounts); managing calendars, travel, and logistics for leadership; planning team events, all-hands meetings, and visits from customers, investors, and government stakeholders; supporting HR and finance operations (insurance, invoicing, expense management); and maintaining organized, stocked, and presentable office and common areas while building systems for sustainability. You'll need 3+ years in office management, operations, or executive support (startup or industrial environment preferred). You must be ruthlessly organized, managing multiple threads without dropping any, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 is required, along with comfort learning new tools (purchasing, HR, expense systems). A bias toward action—identifying and fixing problems proactively—is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience at hardware, manufacturing, or lab-based companies; exposure to purchasing/receiving, light bookkeeping, or HR administration; and direct experience supporting founders or executives.
