Salary: USD 28 - 40 / hourly
Oklo is seeking an Office Manager to serve as the operational hub for its Idaho Falls-based radioisotopes team. This role is responsible for ensuring the office and facility remain organized, functional, secure, and welcoming while coordinating workplace services, vendors, supplies, site access, employee onboarding, and day-to-day facility needs.
Key responsibilities include:
**Front Office & Communications:** Welcome visitors and coordinate site access per security requirements; manage incoming/outgoing mail, shipping, and office communications; serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day office and facility needs.
**People & Culture Support:** Coordinate workplace portions of employee onboarding and offboarding (workspaces, equipment, badges, orientation); arrange logistics for meetings, employee events, and site tours; help create a welcoming and productive workplace.
**Facilities & Vendor Coordination:** Oversee functionality and upkeep of office and common areas; coordinate with landlords, cleaners, maintenance providers, and other vendors; manage preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, furniture, equipment, and access-control systems; obtain quotes, confirm scopes, schedule access, and track requests through completion; perform routine onsite tasks including equipment inspections and basic furniture moves.
**Cross-Functional Facilitation:** Serve as onsite coordination point connecting in-person and remote employees with external service providers and appropriate Oklo teams; maintain visibility into ongoing facility work by documenting scope, ownership, dependencies, and status; communicate schedules, outages, and project updates to affected stakeholders; escalate delays, safety concerns, or unclear ownership.
**Supplies & Asset Management:** Order and maintain office, kitchen, and conference-room supplies; track office equipment, furniture, keys, badges, and workplace assets; coordinate delivery, placement, inventory, and return of general workplace equipment; identify opportunities to improve vendor service and cost efficiency.
**Finance, Safety & Compliance Support:** Process purchase orders and invoices; track office expenses and reconcile corporate-card transactions; maintain organized facility and vendor records; support safety, security, inspections, and emergency-preparedness activities; identify and escalate facility, safety, or security concerns.
Oklo is developing fast fission power plants for clean energy, establishing a domestic supply chain for critical radioisotopes, and advancing nuclear fuel recycling. The company was the first to receive a site use permit from the U.S. Department of Energy for a commercial advanced fission plant and submitted the first custom combined license application for an advanced reactor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The role requires onsite presence at Idaho Falls. Remote employees must travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice quarterly for team meetings, off-sites, and company events. The first two weeks of onboarding are required in-person at Santa Clara headquarters.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant office management, facilities coordination, or workplace operations experience
- Experience coordinating vendors, maintenance, purchasing, and workplace logistics
- Experience tracking cross-functional requests, projects, or work activities through completion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and ability to learn new systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite at Idaho Falls location
- Ability to lift or move 25 lbs
- Experience supporting engineering, research, laboratory, manufacturing, or other technical teams preferred
