As Office Manager, you will own all aspects of the day-to-day operations and workplace experience for the Blacksmith San Francisco office. This is a core role for an intentionally small, high-performing team that prioritizes in-person collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the complete workplace experience: ensuring the office is a desirable place to work with modern technology, high-end design, fully stocked kitchen, and catered lunches.
- Coordinating internal team events (lunches, dinners, celebrations) and managing external customer and network events hosted at the office.
- Delivering employee experience initiatives including work anniversaries, birthdays, and special recognition events.
- Managing day-to-day office operations: vendor management, equipment procurement, supplies, and facilities.
- Negotiating and managing vendor contracts.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all office guests.
- Continuously identifying and implementing improvements to the office experience.
You will work cross-functionally across the business to coordinate initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive in anticipating team needs, and genuinely excited about creating exceptional experiences.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience delivering exceptional workplace experiences in a similar office manager or operations role.
- Deep understanding of what makes in-person office environments enjoyable and engaging.
- Demonstrated ability to manage logistics, coordinate across teams, and execute on experience-focused initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfort with vendor negotiation and contract management.
