Physical Intelligence is developing foundation models and learning algorithms to power robots and physically-actuated devices. The company seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead new product introduction (NPI) and hardware platform execution.
You will own end-to-end program execution for robot platforms, including development schedules, risk mitigation, build matrix management, material forecasting, Clear-to-Build (CTB) analysis, logistics readiness, vendor coordination, and configuration management. You'll partner closely with hardware engineering, supply chain, build, fabrication, and fleet integration teams to communicate changes, analyze risk, and execute complex build plans supporting fast-moving research and deployment timelines.
Key responsibilities include: partnering with platform leads to drive program schedules and execution; owning build planning and production coordination from part/tooling kickoff through production output to fleet handoff; driving material forecasting, CTB analysis, dashboards, and readiness reporting; managing hardware staging and acceptance handoffs to fleet integration; coordinating arrival of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware from global vendors including modifications, allocation, tracking, replenishment, and end-of-life management; running logistics readiness and troubleshooting for incoming components; routing custom hardware requests across internal and external vendors; partnering with supply chain and procurement on vendor follow-up and lead-time management; and identifying and implementing process improvements as the program scales.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with hardware shipping experience; 3+ years in operations, supply chain, manufacturing program support, or engineering program management with cross-functional and vendor engagement; strong organizational and project management skills with proven ability to drive process improvements and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments; proficiency with operational tools (Notion, Linear, Excel, project trackers, procurement systems); excellent written and verbal communication; willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally; hands-on bias and willingness to work on the build floor alongside technicians and engineers.
Preferred experience includes R&D operations, robotics, or technical environments with complex procurement and NPI requirements; familiarity with electromechanical systems, PCBA, machined parts, or robotics hardware; direct experience with build planning, BOM management, CTB analysis, or material readiness; and familiarity with ERP/MRP, PLM, or production tracking tools.
