Salary: USD 111,000 - 147,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems, AI, and computer vision. The Maritime team is fielding next-generation Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for seabed exploration, operating ultra-long-range, full-ocean-depth platforms at scale from large to extra-large vehicle sizes.
You will join the Dive-XL team as an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer responsible for ensuring successful and consistent product launches across global manufacturing sites. You will serve as the critical bridge between design and production teams, owning technical knowledge transfer from initial NPI/pilot sites through rate production facilities. Your primary mission is identifying and resolving process bottlenecks, managing project dependencies, and architecting bi-directional knowledge exchange between production sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning configuration management decisions in the production system at Quonset and coordinating follow-on impacts across multiple sites
- Championing Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for X (DFX) principles in the development pipeline
- Collaborating with leadership to prevent scope creep and ensure on-schedule product releases
- Designing and continuously improving standardized knowledge transfer frameworks between production and development sites, including checklists, templates, communication plans, and stage-gate reviews
- Coordinating cross-functional activities across engineering, supply chain, quality, and production teams
- Serving as primary point of contact for Quonset site on assigned NPI programs
- Embedding deeply with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams from early development through initial production to capture expert-level product and process knowledge
- Facilitating cross-site collaborations through regular communication forums, technical deep dives, and virtual reviews
- Mentoring and developing engineers and technicians at receiving sites to become self-sufficient subject matter experts
- Breaking down organizational barriers and fostering a culture of open communication, shared learning, and standardization
- Managing engineering change workflows (ECR/ECO) affecting manufacturing of transferred technology
- Tracking risks, issues, and actions with appropriate mitigation and escalation

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or product integration environments
- At least 3 years directly involved in New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Demonstrated experience leading the transfer of a product or process from one manufacturing site to another
- Deep technical credibility and hands-on experience with modern manufacturing processes and quality systems (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, AS9100)
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and lead teams without direct reporting authority
- Natural teacher and mentor with passion for documentation and process improvement
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the defense or aerospace industry with strong understanding of rigorous quality and documentation requirements
- Experience administering or architecting knowledge management systems (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, PLM)
- Experience working with international teams and navigating cultural differences
