Salary: USD 90,000 - 120,000 / annual

Landline is revolutionizing air travel by offering innovative multimodal connections across North America, partnering with major airlines like American Airlines and Air Canada. The company operates luxury motorcoaches as a faster, more sustainable alternative to short flights, reducing costs and addressing pilot shortages while enhancing passenger journeys. As Fleet Manager, you will oversee all fleet management and maintenance functions for Landline's motorcoach operations. You are the single point of contact for leadership, maintenance partners, OEMs, and the dispatch team, responsible for ensuring the fleet is safe, clean, compliant, and maintained according to OEM intervals and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: - Owning the maintenance function with plans, vendors, and data, with a path to scale to 100+ motorcoaches - Building and maintaining rolling maintenance forecasts aligned to OEM intervals and usage patterns - Managing the maintenance budget with Finance, including updates and variance reporting - Coordinating unscheduled and corrective maintenance without disrupting service operations - Maintaining accurate service records in Fleetio and Samsara; tracking DVIR resolution - Managing parts and consumables procurement and validating pass-through costs - Flagging recurring issues and vehicles approaching end of useful life using maintenance data - Serving as Landline's representative at external maintenance facilities - Scheduling all planned and unplanned work and ensuring buses are positioned on time - Reviewing and approving partner invoices and tracking technician usage against budget - Conducting quarterly reviews with key maintenance vendors - Providing real-time fleet readiness visibility to SOC and leadership - Managing vehicle assignments and identifying capacity risks in advance - Maintaining vehicle files (registration, insurance, inspections, warranties) - Serving as primary contact with OEM representatives; managing warranty claims and technician training - Tracking Technical Service Bulletins, service bulletins, and recalls - Ensuring federal, state, and local compliance and timely inspections - Reporting KPIs (MTBF, out-of-service days, cost per vehicle) You will work remotely with occasional travel to station locations in the USA and Canada. The role requires collaboration across multiple locations and time zones during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, CST/EST/MST). REQUIREMENTS: - 5–10 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, aviation, fleet operations, or operations-focused consulting in transportation/logistics, or equivalent hands-on experience - Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience in transportation logistics/operations - Strong data and analytical skills (Excel required; SQL, Python, or BI tools like Tableau/Power BI a plus) - Familiarity with Fleetio and/or Samsara - Comfort using and recommending AI tools (e.g., Claude Code or similar) to move quickly across diverse projects - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with frontline hourly staff - High-energy, self-directed approach and enthusiasm for solving operational problems in a fast-moving startup environment - Ability to think beyond a single function and balance commercial, finance, and operations perspectives - Nice-to-have: Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.) - Residents of New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Fort Collins, and Toronto are preferred
