As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will originate and promote Unison's innovative Mortgage Hybrid/Equity Loan product while ensuring full compliance with underwriting guidelines and applicable mortgage laws. This hybrid role requires 3 full days per week in the Omaha office (Tuesday–Thursday).
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting complete loan applications, requesting customer documents, and maintaining deep understanding of loan parameters and underwriting guidelines
- Tracking customer contact and maintaining detailed conversation logs
- Resolving problems throughout the loan process
- Reviewing and explaining Loan Estimates, Closing Disclosures, and mortgage documentation
- Ensuring strict adherence to all mortgage regulations and laws
- Maintaining MLO license and completing continuing education with manager support
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to complete transactions efficiently
- Attaining established productivity targets and achieving zero compliance defects
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction and professionally de-escalating concerns
- Working cross-functionally to identify and solve process friction points

Requirements:
- Must be a registered and/or licensed Mortgage Loan Officer. If currently registered, you must complete the 20-hour NMLS course, pass the licensing exam, and hold state licenses in states where Unison operates. If already licensed, Unison will assist with license transfer.
- Located in the Omaha, NE metro area with ability to work in office 3 days per week (Tuesday–Thursday)
- 2+ years of sales experience in a contact center environment
- Previous, recent mortgage experience required
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and compliance skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management skills
