Salary: USD 145,600 - 270,400 / annual
DTX Pharma, a Novartis Company, seeks a Monitoring Services Oversight Manager to drive clinical trial excellence and vendor performance across the organization. In this strategic role, you will serve as the primary liaison between Novartis and external monitoring service providers, establishing governance models that promote high-quality vendor performance and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include overseeing monitoring resourcing, training, quality assurance, and timely data entry across clinical studies. You will monitor site activation, enrollment, data flow, and timeline commitments while driving performance management through key performance and quality indicator oversight. The role requires escalating compliance concerns and performance gaps to vendor leadership, supporting audit readiness and regulatory inspections, and partnering with Clinical Project Managers to strengthen site recruitment and monitoring effectiveness.
You will identify performance trends, support targeted development initiatives to improve monitoring quality, and align resource strategies with vendor leadership to support study and trial delivery needs. This position requires influencing internal and external stakeholders without direct authority, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills in complex global environments.
Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, or related scientific discipline; significant experience in clinical research, clinical operations, or monitoring oversight; strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and regulatory requirements; and demonstrated ability to manage functional service provider relationships. You must have proven ability to identify risks, resolve performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Desirable experience includes supporting global or regional clinical trial portfolios across multiple countries and involvement in audit preparedness, regulatory inspections, or vendor governance programs. The role is fully remote within the United States with an expectation of 25-30% domestic and/or international travel. No visa sponsorship is available.
