Remote is a global HR platform enabling organizations to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly. The Mobility Specialist role sits within the Onboarding and Mobility team, which handles employee transitions across borders, immigration compliance, relocation logistics, and global mobility programs.
In this position, you will provide legal and strategic guidance to clients on immigration compliance, monitor Remote's products and services for regulatory adherence, and manage visa/work permit applications. You'll establish and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, handle escalations requiring senior-level review, and serve as a point of contact for business travel and sponsorship cases. The role involves independently monitoring immigration law changes, ensuring documentation compliance, and utilizing case management systems to track case statuses and billing.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and preparing visa/work permit applications, counseling clients on immigration processes, providing solution-based responses for complex cases, and proactively improving processes through automation and documentation. You'll work autonomously on day-to-day tasks while collaborating with the Mobility team and reporting to the Mobility Manager.
You bring proven experience in immigration compliance or global mobility, with comprehensive understanding of immigration procedures and compliance requirements. You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, demonstrate composure under pressure, and have strong customer-facing and communication skills. Experience in the technology sector or high-growth companies is desirable. You're a flexible, adaptable team player comfortable working remotely and asynchronously with minimal oversight. Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.
