Remote is a global HR platform enabling businesses to recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly. The Mobility Specialist role sits within the Onboarding and Mobility team, supporting Remote's mission to simplify global employment.
In this position, you will provide legal and strategic guidance to clients on immigration compliance, ensuring smooth employee transitions across borders while adhering to local regulations. Key responsibilities include analyzing and preparing visa and work permit applications, monitoring immigration law changes to maintain compliance, and managing case statuses through case management systems. You'll establish and strengthen relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders, handling escalations independently and determining when senior-level review is needed.
You'll serve as a point of contact for business travel, sponsorship cases, and immigration counseling, applying deep immigration knowledge to solve complex client scenarios. The role emphasizes proactive process improvement through automation and documentation, working autonomously within a distributed, asynchronous team environment.
