Isar Aerospace, a fast-growing space technology company building sustainable launch solutions for small and medium-sized satellites, is seeking an MES Delivery Manager / Project Manager to lead the transformation of manufacturing operations through digital systems implementation.
In this role, you will serve as the central coordination point between business stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership. You will translate the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) roadmap into executable delivery plans with clear outcomes, ownership, milestones, and success criteria. Your responsibilities include coordinating delivery activities across Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Global IT functions, as well as managing external implementation partners.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, interdependencies, risks, and resource requirements across multiple parallel MES workstreams
- Drive alignment between stakeholders and ensure timely decisions, inputs, and commitments
- Monitor progress against key milestones and proactively identify delivery challenges with mitigation actions
- Remove obstacles and escalate critical issues to maintain project momentum
- Facilitate structured communication and reporting across operational, technical, and leadership organizations
- Support the full project lifecycle from process definition and system configuration through testing, implementation, and operational release
- Identify opportunities for delivery improvement, process optimization, and increased business impact
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across functions to enable sustainable digital manufacturing transformation
- Support program governance activities including status reporting, risk reviews, and executive updates
The ideal candidate will bring experience managing complex cross-functional projects in manufacturing, digitalization, MES, ERP, or enterprise system environments. You should demonstrate strong project planning, scheduling, dependency management, and risk management capabilities. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing competing priorities, and understanding manufacturing processes and digital transformation challenges is essential. You will need excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Experience in fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environments is advantageous.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects within manufacturing, digitalization, MES, ERP, or enterprise system environments
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure, transparency, and execution focus to complex organizational environments
- Strong project planning, scheduling, dependency management, and risk management capabilities
- Proven ability to drive alignment and secure commitments from operational, technical, and management stakeholders
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and challenges associated with digital transformation initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to balance strategic objectives with day-to-day execution requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Strong ownership mindset, curiosity, and commitment to delivering measurable business outcomes
- Professional proficiency in English; German language skills beneficial
- Experience in fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environments is advantageous
