Salary: CAD 103,000 - 155,000 / annual

Nutanix is seeking a Member of Technical Staff 2 (MTS-2) to design, develop, and deliver scalable, resilient backend services and platform components powering enterprise cloud solutions. You will join a geo-dispersed, highly collaborative engineering team dedicated to simplifying multi-cloud infrastructure and enterprise software management. In this role, you will: - Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, resilient backend services and software components - Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code adhering to enterprise software engineering standards - Develop automated unit and integration test suites to maintain high software quality, security, and reliability - Participate in architectural reviews, design discussions, and peer code reviews - Troubleshoot complex bugs and performance bottlenecks across multi-tiered distributed systems - Partner with cross-functional teams (Product Management, QA, DevOps) to deliver end-to-end features on schedule The work setup is hybrid, requiring you to be in the Vancouver office three days per week for in-person collaboration. Very mild travel requirements apply. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline - 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience building backend platform systems or cloud applications - Strong proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, or C++ - Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and OS concepts - Practical experience with Linux systems, RESTful API design, microservice architectures, and Git-based workflows - Plus: Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, or public/private cloud environments - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive ownership, and desire to learn and collaborate
