In this Staff Product Designer role, you will own the look, feel, and user experience of AI-native product experiences across the hiring workflow. Your responsibilities include: - Designing interfaces that make AI agents feel transparent, trustworthy, and like real coworkers - Owning meaningful product areas end-to-end, from problem definition through rollout, in close partnership with engineering - Creating fast, high-fidelity prototypes that prove or kill ideas before engineering commits - Setting the craft bar for the entire product: motion, density, hierarchy, and details - Turning ambiguous problems into interfaces that feel obvious in hindsight - Defining what AI-native software looks and feels like as the company scales You'll work in a small, sharp, in-person team where best ideas win on merit. The environment emphasizes ownership, ambiguity, and close collaboration with engineering, product, and customers. Iteration speed is high, and feedback loops are short. Compensation is in the top 10% of the SF market with salary plus meaningful equity. The company re-benchmarks compensation twice yearly and conducts promotion/raise cycles every six months tied to real changes in scope and responsibility. Qualifications: - Proven experience designing and shipping beautiful, complex products in fast-moving software environments - Deep specialist expertise in product design: interaction design, visual craft, and systems thinking - Experience with rich, interactive, information-dense interfaces where pixels matter - Familiarity with design systems, real-time collaboration, or other hard interaction problems - Experience designing AI-native interfaces: agent interactions, streaming/loading states, conversational moments - Strong portfolio demonstrating obsession with craft and clear reasoning behind design decisions - Background in startup or scale-up environments with high iteration speed and ownership - Point of view on what makes great products and what's broken in existing software
