Edison Scientific builds and deploys AI scientist agents to accelerate science and the development of new medicines. The company is run by scientists and engineers from leading institutions across biology, physics, chemistry, and AI.
As a Member of Operations Staff, you will be a generalist operations professional reporting to the Head of Operations. You will own cross-functional projects end-to-end, from scoping through execution, and partner closely with teams across the company to strengthen operational processes as Edison scales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning cross-functional projects end-to-end, from scoping through execution
- Building and running operational processes that make the company easier to operate at scale
- Executing on projects spanning operations, people, and business systems
- Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities before they become obvious
- Pulling and analyzing data to inform decisions and track progress
- Communicating clearly with stakeholders ranging from engineers to executives
- Taking on whatever work needs doing, even outside your comfort zone
This role is for someone who wants to be close to the hardest problems at a company moving with urgency and focus, comfortable working in ambiguity and intensity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in operations, consulting, finance, or similar business-side role
- Demonstrated ability to own projects end-to-end without close supervision
- Experience pulling and interpreting data to drive decisions
- Ability to communicate credibly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfort working in ambiguity and intensity
- Active use of AI tools to create leverage across daily work: automating tasks, optimizing workflows, and directing agents where appropriate
- Strong interest in AI for science
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a high-growth startup or early-stage company
- A second degree (MBA, MPP, JD) or pre-career path in a rigorous analytical field
- Background in science, whether through formal training or professional experience in a scientific domain
