As a Forward Deployed AI Strategist, you will serve as the lead technical strategist embedded with customers, owning end-to-end design of AI-driven business transformation projects. You will translate domain-specific customer needs into scalable, agent-based solutions using DevRev's platform, requiring a blend of enterprise architecture, AI solutioning, customer empathy, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deeply understanding customer business domains, systems, OKRs, and KPIs to guide solution design
- Designing and documenting AI-driven workflows, agents, skills, and system integrations aligned with customer goals and industry best practices
- Building strong partnerships with customer stakeholders as their technical counterpart
- Bridging gaps between pre-sales, customer success, and engineering teams to ensure requirements are actionable and outcomes measurable
- Architecting modular, scalable solutions that extend across customers and verticals
- Collaborating with Applied AI engineers to oversee solution implementation with architectural alignment
- Supporting pre-sales by scoping opportunities, defining technical requirements, and assessing feasibility
- Staying ahead of emerging trends in AI, software integration, and business transformation
- Ensuring all solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards
This is a highly customer-facing role requiring approximately 80–90% travel to client locations to understand business needs, shape AI solutions, and drive adoption and deployment.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in solution architecture or consulting roles focused on enterprise-scale, customer-facing software implementations
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern integration patterns (APIs, webhooks, pipelines)
- Strong understanding of customer priorities with ability to translate business needs into technical execution plans
- Problem-solver with growth mindset skilled in crafting scalable and future-proof architectures
- Exceptional ability to convey complex technical and business concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency with project planning tools and methodologies; capable of managing multiple solution tracks and timelines
- Proven ability to define and track success through OKRs, KPIs, and tangible business outcomes
- Background in SaaS or enterprise platforms with understanding of extensibility and multi-tenant design principles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (advanced degrees or certifications in AI/architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SAFe are a plus)
- Comfort with frequent travel based on client and business requirements
