Salary: USD 136,000 - 179,000 / annual
Skydio is the leading US autonomous drone company, serving defense, public safety, and enterprise customers. As Materials Program Manager, you will drive material strategy and execution for drone and dock products through the Clear-to-Build (CTB) process in a highly regulated environment.
You will plan all Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure optimal availability across the product lifecycle at both in-house FATP and contract manufacturing sites. You'll manage CTB reporting to drive material readiness aligned with production plans and customer orders, developing inventory strategies that balance supply flexibility and cost exposure.
Key responsibilities include proactively identifying supply chain risks and mitigation strategies, communicating risks across cross-functional teams, and escalating issues timely. You'll drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product transitions, and material revisions to ensure supply continuity and minimize obsolescence. Collaboration is central—you'll work with purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, program management, product development, design engineering, production control, and logistics teams.
You'll engage with system developers to build and improve internal tools and processes, with a passion for continuous improvement. The role requires managing multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while presenting material status effectively in weekly program and executive meetings.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations; 4–6 years in OEM/JDM/ODM hardware business with prior contract manufacturer experience. Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills, ability to handle large datasets and identify patterns. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset. Knowledge of PLM software and ERP systems is a plus. Must be on-site in Hayward 3 days per week. FAA Part 107 certification strongly encouraged within 60 days and required for certain positions.
