Salary: USD 115,000 - 135,000 / annual
Infleqtion is a global quantum technology company commercializing atom-based quantum computers, sensors, and networks to solve complex problems across industries. The Materials Planner III is a senior individual contributor responsible for planning and coordinating material availability to support production schedules, program milestones, and customer requirements. This role translates demand into material plans, identifies shortages and supply risks, and coordinates actions across procurement, production, engineering, quality, and program management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Independently managing complex material plans and multiple concurrent programs with competing production priorities
- Using MRP and ERP systems to balance delivery commitments, inventory investment, and changing priorities
- Interpreting planning outputs, resolving exceptions, and improving planning processes
- Managing bills of material, work orders, inventory records, lead times, and engineering changes
- Analyzing demand and supply dynamics to optimize inventory levels and production scheduling
- Mentoring less experienced team members and driving continuous improvement in planning practices
- Communicating planning data into clear priorities and actionable recommendations across cross-functional teams
- Supporting aerospace, defense, and government contracting requirements including material documentation and traceability
The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining ownership of commitments.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, business, or related field (or equivalent education and experience); 5+ years in materials planning, production planning, inventory management, or related supply chain function; demonstrated ability to independently manage complex material plans and multiple programs; strong working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems; experience with bills of material, work orders, inventory records, lead times, and engineering changes; understanding of inventory management practices, demand/supply balancing, and production scheduling; proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookup functions, and large data set analysis; strong problem-solving skills; effective cross-functional communication and coordination; strong attention to detail and ownership.
Preferred: Experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or regulated manufacturing; familiarity with material documentation and traceability for government contracts; experience planning long-lead, configuration-controlled, or limited-source materials; experience with direct and indirect materials/supplies; ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification; Lean, continuous improvement, or business intelligence reporting experience.
