Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the energy-first platform to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. As Material Planning Manager, you will lead the material planning function for Crusoe's Manufacturing organization, ensuring raw materials, components, and critical inventory are available to support production while optimizing inventory levels and supply continuity.
You will manage a team of Material Planners responsible for balancing customer demand, supplier performance, production schedules, and inventory strategy. This is a highly collaborative people leadership role sitting at the intersection of Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, and Program Management.
Key responsibilities include: leading and developing a team of Material Planners; developing and executing material planning processes to ensure production has the right materials at the right time; managing inventory health through Clear To Build forums and monitoring safety stock, reorder points, and obsolete materials; partnering with suppliers and Procurement to identify constraints and mitigate supply risks; collaborating across Production Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Quality, and Program Management to align material availability with production schedules; coordinating material readiness for new product introductions; leveraging ERP/MRP systems to manage material requirements and identify efficiency improvements; tracking KPIs including material availability, inventory turns, supplier delivery performance, and planning effectiveness; and driving continuous improvement through scalable processes and standard work.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; 8+ years of experience in material planning, supply planning, inventory management, production planning, or supply chain operations in manufacturing; 3+ years of direct people management experience leading material planning or supply chain teams; experience managing MRP, inventory planning, and replenishment strategies in complex manufacturing; proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar); strong analytical skills with Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau); demonstrated ability to manage supplier risks and collaborate across functions; and experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
Bonus experience includes high-growth or advanced manufacturing, and manufacturing of electrical systems, modular infrastructure, or data center equipment.
