Voyager Space is a defense, national security, and space technology company developing mission-critical solutions for national security and space exploration. The Material Planner V role is a functional leadership position responsible for managing all phases of assigned program production plans.
Key responsibilities include partnering with program managers, schedulers, control account managers, and cross-functional teams (supply chain, quality, operations) to develop and execute production schedules aligned with program deliverables. The role requires coordinating with program teams to develop production schedules based on lead-time analysis of suppliers and internal operations, ensuring alignment with program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) requirements.
The Material Planner V will plan, direct, and monitor execution of production schedules through engineering drawing release, purchase requisition issuance, purchase order management, and supplier status tracking at each production stage. This position focuses primarily on programs in the prototyping, design, and development phases of the product lifecycle.
The role demands strong organizational and planning skills to accomplish complex program objectives. Responsibilities include interpersonal communication with program teams, company management, business partners, and customers. The position requires coordination across multiple functional areas to ensure production schedules and supply/demand requirements are aligned to meet program needs.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant scope and influence across program execution, requiring deep expertise in production planning, supply chain coordination, and program management in a defense/aerospace context.
