Salary: USD 95,000 - 115,000 / annual
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the energy and compute backbone for large-scale AI workloads. The Material Planner, Mechanical role is responsible for ensuring production schedules are materially feasible for all mechanical components—enclosures, structural fabrications, doors, and sheet metal—that feed Crusoe's manufacturing operations.
You will work directly from the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) to run MRP, maintain Clear-to-Build (CTB) status, and manage material shortages proactively. This is an operational role that bridges production planning, physical inventory management, and strategic sourcing. You'll execute MRP and BOM explosions for mechanical SKUs, netting gross requirements against on-hand, on-order, and in-transit inventory. You'll maintain CTB coverage by SKU and work center, accounting for supplier fabrication capacity constraints during peak production cycles.
Key responsibilities include identifying potential material shortages ahead of floor execution and escalating to Strategic Sourcing for expedite or dual-source actions; sharing rolling forecasts with mechanical and fabrication suppliers to secure lead-time and capacity commitments; setting and maintaining item-level ERP planning parameters (order policy, lot sizing, lead times, safety stock, make/buy flags); partnering with Materials Management on inventory accuracy and ABC classification; and representing the mechanical material and CTB constraint view during monthly S&OP reconciliations.
You'll need 2–5+ years of dedicated material planning or MRP experience, ideally with exposure to fabricated metal, enclosures, structural steel, or related mechanical assemblies. A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field is required (or equivalent practical experience). You must have solid working knowledge of MRP logic, complex manufacturing BOM structures, and ERP planning modules (e.g., Acumatica or similar systems). Comfort working directly with fabrication suppliers and advanced Excel proficiency are essential. Bonus qualifications include APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM), experience with sheet metal fabrication or data center hardware, and hands-on Acumatica ERP experience.
