Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Material Planner to join its Supply Chain team in Waltham, Massachusetts. The Supply Chain team is responsible for planning and sourcing materials to support the rapid iteration and production of cutting-edge defense hardware systems.
In this role, you will own material flow responsibility across the entire value chain, from raw materials through finished goods shipped to customers. You will have full ownership of certain assemblies and product lines, serving as the primary decision-maker for signaling to Purchasing and Manufacturing teams what and when to buy or build.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Demand Planning team to develop comprehensive supply plans that address the business's holistic material supply needs
- Proactively identifying and escalating material shortages to purchasing and production teams through clear-to-build and weeks-on-hand reporting
- Managing execution of the supply plan with Procurement to ensure stock level targets are maintained
- Coordinating with Procurement to ensure component availability and aligning production scheduling with material availability
- Partnering with Engineering teams to plan, track, and maintain material requirements throughout new product introduction (NPI) efforts
- Working cross-functionally with Engineering and Configuration Management teams on material planning initiatives
- Utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and associated tools to forecast supply and plan inventory levels
- Supporting hardware requirements under stringent quality standards
The ideal candidate demonstrates holistic ownership in solving operational challenges with creative solutions in fast-paced, resource-limited environments. You should be flexible, proactive, and comfortable providing support across the supply chain to ensure products are built and shipped on time and to specification.
