Base Power is rebuilding America's electrical grid through distributed battery networks. The company designs, manufactures, and deploys its own hardware—a vertically integrated model requiring tight coordination across marketing, sales, deployments, manufacturing, and supply chain. As Master Planner, you own the operations side of Base's plan of record. You consolidate material plans, deployment plans, and production plans into a single coherent daily-grain operational plan, keeping all functions aligned as priorities shift. You run the recurring S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) cadence with material, install, and production planners, reviewing actuals versus plan, surfacing constraints, and making tradeoff calls when functional plans conflict. You are the individual contributor for production planning, building and owning the master production schedule for the BF1 factory and subsequent facilities, including factory transitions and new product line launches. You set factory shift schedules and staffing requirements based on the build plan, with clear visibility into inventory and cost implications. You manage inventory targets across finished goods, WIP, and raw materials, balancing working capital against stockout risk. You own requirements and direction for Base's in-house planning software and MRP systems, working directly with the software team to define data models, MRP logic, and planner-facing interfaces. You also build your own tools—dashboards, planning models, and analyses—where formal software projects aren't the right fit. You automate reporting so blockers and opportunities surface automatically. You partner closely with Finance & Business Operations to keep operational plans tied to financial forecasts, demand planning, and company-level targets. This role requires influencing and aligning people across manufacturing, supply chain, deployments, software, and finance who do not report to you. You bring hands-on experience owning a master production schedule, master planning function, or S&OP process in high-volume manufacturing; you've run MRP, capacity planning, and production activity control yourself. You excel at building analytical models from scratch, working at daily grain across large datasets, and defending every assumption. You can write software requirements, partner with engineers, and articulate what planners need and what good looks like. Base is a startup where priorities shift quickly and the role may expand based on business needs. The company operates in-person with intensity and ownership culture.
