Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager to lead the test engineering function for its Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) manufacturing team. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership to ensure rigorous testing protocols and consistent delivery of high-quality defense hardware.
You will direct a manufacturing test engineering team, setting objectives and assessing outcomes while overseeing the manufacturing test strategy across multiple products. Key responsibilities include collaborating with product and development engineering teams on design testability, strategizing automation and process improvements, and maintaining test capabilities from system-level checkouts through component-level validation. You'll evaluate test data to identify product and process enhancements, lead procurement and implementation of new test equipment with ROI analysis, and communicate scaling strategies as platforms transition from low-rate initial production (LRIP) to full-rate production (FRP).
The role demands technical depth in manufacturing test systems, including proficiency with test automation tools (LabVIEW, Python, C#), hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, PCIe, CAN, etc.), and PCBA/electronic assembly testing standards. You'll champion initiatives to enhance safety, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase productivity. This position requires 8+ years of relevant manufacturing test and product sustainment experience, a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years leading manufacturing test engineering teams. U.S. Secret security clearance eligibility is required.
