Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing test engineering team for electromagnetic warfare (EW) hardware systems. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership, ensuring rigorous testing protocols deliver superior quality products at scale. You will direct a manufacturing test engineering team, setting objectives and assessing outcomes while overseeing the test strategy for multiple products as they transition from pre-production (LRIP) to full-scale manufacturing (FRP). Key responsibilities include collaborating with product and development engineering teams on design testability, strategizing automation and process improvements, and maintaining test capabilities across system-level checkouts, acceptance testing, and component-level validation. You'll evaluate test data to identify product and process enhancements, lead procurement and implementation of new test equipment with ROI analysis, and champion initiatives that enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve quality. As the technical authority on manufacturing test matters, you'll advise on and troubleshoot complex issues while cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Required qualifications include 8+ years in manufacturing test and product sustainment, a bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics, computer, or mechanical engineering, and 2+ years leading manufacturing test engineering teams. You must have hands-on experience with test automation (Linux, C#, Python, LabView), computer hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN), PCBA/electronic assembly testing, and familiarity with TES, PLM, MES, and ERP systems. Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance are essential. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated leadership in developing manufacturing test systems, proficiency in LabVIEW and MATLAB, knowledge of PCBA and mechanical design, experience designing HASS and ESS tests (thermal, vibration), and familiarity with AI tools.
