As a Manufacturing Specialist, you will support the development and execution of advanced CNC automation systems within Hadrian's factories, operating at the intersection of Applications Engineering, CNC Controls, and shop floor operations. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that directly contributes to the scalability and repeatability of manufacturing systems.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with Applications Engineers on machine setup, material preparation, and tool builds; executing tool life studies and structured test programs; assisting CNC Controls Engineers with diagnostic routines like ballbar analysis and probing validation; performing internal machining operations; and managing development tooling and materials inventory. You will document procedures, contribute to technician training materials, and assist in testing new macros, automation features, and machine agent capabilities.
You will serve as the first line of response for non-maintenance operational issues, conduct structured troubleshooting with clear documentation, and partner with Engineering and Operations to formalize processes that improve reliability. The role requires capturing structured feedback from the shop floor to improve automation systems and identifying recurring issues for engineering analysis.
Required qualifications include 1+ year experience as a factory technician, minimum 6 months operating CNC machines, working knowledge of CNC machining and tooling fundamentals, basic troubleshooting capability across mechanical and software systems, strong organizational skills, and clear communication with a bias toward action and learning.
