Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join the Roadrunner Team (RLT) at Arsenal-1, a hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ashville, Ohio. Roadrunner is a cutting-edge VTOL counter-UAS interceptor designed for autonomous air defense operations. In this role, you will lead, motivate, and manage a team of production supervisors, front-line team members, and support staff. You'll provide training, facilitate professional development, and conduct performance reviews. You will champion an EHS-focused culture by ensuring production processes, equipment, and team members comply with established requirements, actively working with the EHS team to continuously improve processes and drive accountability to 5S standards. Key responsibilities include ensuring products meet all quality standards and specifications by implementing quality control processes and driving reduction in variability. You'll work closely with production planning to develop and execute production schedules to meet demand requirements, develop and refine process instructions, and ensure these are communicated and followed diligently. You will continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal equipment utilization. Drive urgency and accountability by leveraging tools such as SPC, KPIs, and other performance data analysis, employing problem-solving and data-driven decision-making while coaching the production team to do the same. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or related field; 10+ years in manufacturing; 5+ years in manufacturing leadership; Lean manufacturing experience; excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills; strong knowledge of production management principles; proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office; and U.S. citizenship. Preferred qualifications include exposure to multiple production management platforms (ERPs, MESs), experience in safety and quality critical environments (energetics, aerospace, chemicals), aircraft manufacturing experience, composite materials and advanced manufacturing knowledge, automation experience, Oracle ERP experience, and MES Forge software experience. Note: This role requires relocation to Costa Mesa, CA for a 3-month training program with Anduril's world-class manufacturing team. Housing and transportation will be provided during this period.
