Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is building Arsenal-1, a hyper-scale manufacturing facility near Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to producing autonomous systems and weapons for the U.S. military and allies. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will lead a team of production technicians in the fabrication and delivery of advanced hardware platforms including products like Menace-I, Menace-X, Menace-T, and TITAN.
In this role, you will own end-to-end production operations for assigned product lines, managing priorities, equipment, and personnel across the factory floor. Key responsibilities include directing daily operations and work order execution, ensuring safety compliance and continuous improvement, coaching and developing technician teams, and maintaining quality standards throughout production. You will track on-time delivery metrics, manage inventory accuracy, and generate daily/weekly production reports for engineering and operations leadership.
You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, logistics, and quality teams to remove blockers and drive production ramps. The role demands both technical acumen—particularly in New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing systems like NetSuite and Anduril MES—and strong people management skills. You will participate actively in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a collaborative team culture focused on product knowledge and skill development.
This position requires relocation to Costa Mesa, California for a mandatory 3-month training program with Anduril's world-class manufacturing team before establishing operations in Ohio. Housing and transportation are provided during training. Success requires consistent achievement across customer satisfaction, team management, operational metrics, and financial goals, with a demonstrated ability to operate with high urgency in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
