Graphcore is seeking a Manufacturing Operational Excellence Manager to drive quality, reliability, and performance improvements across the company's hardware lifecycle. This is an individual contributor role with significant ownership and influence across manufacturing operations.
You will own manufacturing excellence initiatives that transform complex hardware into reliable, scalable production. Your responsibilities include improving quality and reliability across Graphcore's hardware lifecycle, connecting manufacturing insights with engineering, quality, and supply chain decisions. You will help products transition from new product introduction into sustained production with stronger controls, using data to identify risks, understand failure mechanisms, and drive measurable improvements.
Key responsibilities include leading investigations, shaping control plans, and helping teams act on manufacturing and reliability evidence. You will turn complex technical signals into clear, actionable insights. The role requires working across boundaries with manufacturing partners, engineering specialists, and operations teams, bringing structure, pace, and evidence to complex decisions.
You will sit within the Quality team in Manufacturing Operations, working across silicon, board, and system development. The team converts manufacturing and reliability insights into practical changes that improve products and processes.
Required qualifications include strong technical grounding in manufacturing, quality, or reliability engineering within semiconductor, advanced electronics, or complex hardware environments. You need ability to apply structured problem-solving and data analysis to complex manufacturing or product quality issues, experience using statistical, process capability, or reliability data to support engineering and operational decisions, and understanding of new product introduction, production ramp, and sustained volume manufacturing. Confidence leading cross-functional investigations across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams is essential, as is the ability to work with outsourced manufacturing partners and turn failure insights into practical improvements.
