As Manufacturing Manager on the 2nd shift (approximately 3:00 PM–11:30 PM), you will lead a team of 10+ Production Technicians in manufacturing life-saving public safety technology. You will oversee daily production operations, manage resource allocation, and ensure efficient workflow across multiple production lines. Key responsibilities include team leadership and mentoring, implementing production standards and quality control measures, managing production floor layout and workflow optimization, monitoring supply chain activities and inventory levels, and acting as the primary liaison between Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Inventory teams.
You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, participate in strategic planning for production capacity expansion, and maintain hands-on capability with production processes and assembly techniques. The role requires strong project management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to analyze production metrics and implement improvements. This position is anticipated to transition to day shift within 4–6 months, subject to business needs.
Required qualifications include 5+ years of manufacturing experience with 3+ years in leadership roles, proven experience with ERP and MES software systems, strong project management and problem-solving skills, advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control, and demonstrated ability to build and mentor teams. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field, experience in drone manufacturing or aerospace, Six Sigma certification, ISO 9001 quality management systems knowledge, and background in regulatory compliance for aerospace or defense manufacturing.
