Mytos is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to own the design, scale, and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations for both electromechanical automation systems and sterile GMP-compliant plastic consumables. This is a foundational, hands-on leadership role that bridges strategic direction-setting with floor-level problem-solving.
You will own the full manufacturing function, including process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity planning. Key responsibilities include:
• Owning and continuously improving manufacture of automation systems and consumables, growing volume while driving yield/quality improvements and reducing cost and lead time
• Tracking and actively driving down COGS; modeling unit economics; developing and implementing capex/opex strategies
• Bringing new products into stable manufacture smoothly and on schedule
• Leading planning, build-out, and setup of greenfield manufacturing facilities
• Recruiting, line-managing, and developing the manufacturing team to grow scope, skill, and independence
You will work directly with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional leadership (sales, finance, planning) to ensure manufacturing keeps pace with an ambitious commercial roadmap.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Track record of building or scaling manufacturing functions, ideally in fast-moving hardware, lab automation, or regulated manufacturing environments
• Deep hands-on manufacturing engineering ability: facility design, process development/scale-up, equipment and process qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), root-cause problem solving
• Strong grasp of manufacturing economics: COGS ownership, unit-cost modeling, capex and make-vs-buy decision-making
• GMP and regulatory knowledge (ISO 13485, cleanroom manufacturing) or demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly
• Experience managing suppliers and contract manufacturers: qualification, audits, quality agreements, scalable outcomes negotiation
• Fluency with ERP/MRP systems for manufacturing and capacity planning; comfort with data-driven decision-making (SPC, DOE, yield analysis, COPQ)
• Leadership personality that stays technical and builds capability rather than dependency
• Experience across both electromechanical assembly and sterile/GMP plastics manufacturing is a strong plus
