Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced autonomous systems and weapons. You will lead the Manufacturing Engineering team for the Barracuda 500 autonomous air vehicle program at Arsenal-1, Anduril's hyper-scale manufacturing facility near Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will direct and develop a manufacturing engineering team responsible for the complete industrialization of Barracuda 500—from prototype validation through large-volume production scaling. You will set strategic technical direction, drive continuous process improvement, and ensure manufacturing efficiency and quality standards. Key responsibilities include: overseeing the transition from prototyping to full-scale production; developing and executing strategic production capability plans incorporating new technologies; owning manufacturing documentation (work instructions, inspection plans, requirements); collaborating with product development to ensure design manufacturability; selecting, installing, and commissioning manufacturing equipment; driving cost reduction and quality enhancement initiatives; managing budgets and forecasting manufacturing needs; establishing training and documentation programs; fostering innovation and accountability; serving as technical expert for manufacturing engineering issues; liaising with vendors and suppliers; and analyzing production metrics to identify improvement opportunities. You will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The role requires relocation to Costa Mesa, CA for a 3-month training program with the world-class manufacturing team at Anduril HQ before establishing operations in Ohio. Housing and transportation are provided during training.
