Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Digital Tools to join its Digital Manufacturing team in Boston. This role focuses on the internal deployment and adoption of Anduril's ProductionOS manufacturing software solutions, optimizing manufacturing operations through advanced digital solutions and industry-standard procedures.
You will work with manufacturing and software leadership to develop and implement novel manufacturing software strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to align the manufacturing software roadmap with business objectives, monitoring industry trends and best practices, and driving adoption of manufacturing software solutions across the company. You will own the critical feedback loop between end users and software developers, ensuring that solutions meet real operational needs. Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing software standard instructions and best practices.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in a digital manufacturing environment, with strong familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems, and understanding of how they interface with operations. You should have a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, User Experience Design, or a related field. Strong technical and analytical skills are essential, along with high user empathy and the ability to manage and communicate effectively with stakeholders. You must be able to quickly understand current operations and potential issues on the product line and speak the language of manufacturing. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects. You should be adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. U.S. Person status is required due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
