PayAll Payment Systems is a fintech startup focused on revolutionizing cross-border payments. As a Manual QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality, stability, and performance of the fintech platform by working closely with engineers, product, and business analyst teams.
Key responsibilities include reviewing product requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand use cases and acceptance criteria; designing, maintaining, and executing detailed manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing; identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA and working with developers to resolve them; performing end-to-end testing of workflows including user interfaces, APIs, and third-party integrations; validating data accuracy across systems, particularly in financial and transaction flows; participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA retrospectives as part of the Agile development cycle; maintaining QA documentation including test plans, testing procedures, and release checklists; and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in a fintech or highly regulated environment
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience testing web and mobile applications
- Familiarity with REST APIs and tools like Postman for manual API testing
- Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Hands-on experience using AI tools within the testing lifecycle, including generating test cases and test data, authoring or maintaining automated tests, and analyzing failures with sound judgment about validating AI output
Nice to have: Exposure to cross-border payments or banking systems, familiarity with compliance testing (KYC, AML), interest in learning test automation over time.
