You will build and lead security at Lightfield as a deeply technical security leader reporting to the CTO. This is a hands-on role where you'll own security strategy while actively working in the systems you're responsible for—reviewing architecture and code, threat modeling, investigating vulnerabilities, and implementing controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own Lightfield's security strategy and roadmap, identifying material risks and driving resolution
- Partner with engineers on product and infrastructure security through architecture reviews, threat modeling, code review, and vulnerability remediation
- Define and evolve the security model for AI agents, including permissions, tool access, sandboxing, data boundaries, and safe execution
- Build and operate security systems including identity and access, vulnerability management, detection and monitoring, incident response, and data protection
- Lead security incident response, personally investigating systems, logs, and code
- Own security and compliance programs including SOC 2 and enterprise requirements
- Work directly with customers and prospects on security reviews and architecture discussions
- Build security into operations through good architecture, tooling, and collaboration
- Build and lead the security team as the company grows
Lightfield connects to sensitive company systems including email, calendars, meetings, Slack, and CRM data, using that context to power AI agents that can take action on behalf of companies. Security is fundamental to the product.

- Strong application and cloud security expertise; can reason about attack surfaces, trust boundaries, and failure modes
- Owned security and compliance programs such as SOC 2; worked directly with enterprise customers and their security teams
- Exceptional judgment to distinguish material risks from theoretical ones and improve security without unnecessarily slowing the company
- Know how to build a security organization: what to own centrally, what to embed in engineering, when to use vendors, and hiring strategy
- Excited to develop security models for AI agents and emerging systems where established patterns are still evolving
