As a Legal Engineer in the Paris Tax & Audit team, you will bridge tax/audit expertise with AI product implementation. This hybrid role combines client relationships, product knowledge, and practical workflow development—not a traditional box, but a high-impact position shaping how AI is adopted in professional services.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with tax partners, audit leaders, and their teams to identify where Legora can deliver meaningful impact in tax research, advisory, evidence review, and audit documentation.
- Build and test workflows by translating client needs into working use cases, validating outputs against source material and professional standards, and refining approaches with end users.
- Lead demonstrations and training sessions grounded in clients' own work, tailoring content for practitioners, partners, and innovation teams.
- Own pilots and rollouts: define success criteria, maintain stakeholder alignment, and drive adoption from experimentation to regular use.
- Support commercial conversations alongside Go-to-Market and Customer Success teams to demonstrate value, address objections, and identify expansion opportunities.
- Bring client needs and product gaps back to Product and Engineering with clear examples and actionable evidence.
- Codify successful engagements into templates, guides, and playbooks for internal and client reuse.
You'll join a growing Tax & Audit team with real autonomy, responsibility, and colleagues who challenge your thinking and support your development.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Practical experience in tax, audit, assurance, or closely related advisory practice (Big Four, other professional services firm, or in-house function background).
- Credible understanding of tax or audit work; ability to discuss engagements with experienced practitioners. Specialization in both areas not required.
- Genuine curiosity about generative AI and willingness to learn new tools. Software engineering background or prior Legal Engineering role not required.
- Clear communication skills: explaining technical concepts, leading workshops, handling difficult partner questions.
- Ability to organize engagements, keep commitments, and flag problems early.
- Understanding of professional services commercial realities: engagement economics, client expectations, speed-vs.-quality trade-offs.
- Initiative, responsiveness to feedback, and quick learning when facing unfamiliar problems.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Based in Paris or willing to relocate; able to work from office five days per week.
