Salary: USD 165,000 - 185,000 / annual
Huntress, founded by former NSA cyber operators, is a remote-first cybersecurity company protecting over 5M endpoints and 14M identities globally. The company operates a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC) that investigates and responds to incidents across millions of endpoints worldwide.
As Manager of the Security Operations Center, you will lead a global team of security analysts dedicated to incident investigation, containment, and response. This role is critical to scaling Huntress's operations and force-multiplying analyst capabilities by 10X as the company grows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing internal processes, workflows, and playbooks to reduce analyst burnout and increase productivity
- Managing shift coverage to maintain 24/7 operations across global regions
- Conducting weekly 1:1 meetings with analysts to provide feedback, gather input, and enable career progression
- Developing and implementing analyst training programs in Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, and Automation
- Collaborating with Product teams to prioritize capabilities that augment analyst effectiveness
- Maintaining quality assurance accountability for your designated region
- Streamlining workflows with Support and other teams
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to SOC analysts
- Developing and tracking OKRs linked to SOC initiatives
- Participating in public speaking engagements and community engagement
You will report to the Director of Security Operations Center and work with peer regional managers to ensure consistent global operations while maintaining high service level objectives for response times.
Required experience: 5+ years as a Security Analyst in a global 24x7 SOC with Windows forensics focus; 2+ years in a team lead or managerial role in a global operations center, preferably at an MSSP, MDR provider, or Incident Response service. You should have demonstrated ability to lead diverse cybersecurity teams, create detailed process documentation, communicate technical concepts effectively, and stay current with threat actor tradecraft and detection techniques.
