Emburse is seeking a Manager of Security Governance & Risk to lead the company's security governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) function. This is a people-leadership role managing a team of GRC professionals who handle day-to-day audit execution. The Manager owns the GRC operating model, platform strategy, governance frameworks, configuration standards, data integrity, automation, and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team of GRC professionals
- Establishing and maturing Emburse's enterprise security risk management program
- Developing security metrics and reporting frameworks for executive and Board visibility
- Establishing governance frameworks for AI use, both in Emburse's AI-enabled products and internal AI applications
- Turning control and risk data into actionable, decision-ready reporting
- Ensuring quality and effectiveness of the broader GRC program
- Building and scaling the GRC function as the company grows
The ideal candidate combines deep GRC expertise with strong analytical capabilities. You should be able to communicate complex security and risk concepts to executive leadership and the Board, establish governance structures for emerging technologies like AI, and mentor and grow your team. This role is critical for a fast-moving, AI-forward company that needs credible risk management paired with genuine analytical rigor.
