Figma is seeking a Manager, R&D Finance to lead the Strategic Finance team's efforts around the company's self-serve business. This role sits at the intersection of finance, product, and data science, with substantial visibility into company-wide strategic decisions. You will own all ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) planning and forecasting for Figma's Self-Serve business, including annual plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting, and weekly performance reviews. You'll partner cross-functionally with Product and Data Science teams to identify key growth drivers, surface insights, and influence strategic decisions across the self-serve funnel. A core responsibility is designing and implementing process improvements that enhance forecast accuracy and improve visibility into customer behavior, monetization, and conversion trends. As a manager, you will lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing strategic direction, career development support, and hands-on collaboration to drive team impact. You'll develop and present actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including the CFO, CEO, and CMO. You'll own and evolve the financial narrative for Figma's self-serve motion in executive and board-level materials. The role also requires a builder's mindset—identifying tools, metrics, and systems that enable better decision-making at scale. The Strategic Finance team is focused on solving Figma's most pressing business issues, owning the company's budget, driving annual and quarterly planning processes, allocating and deploying resources efficiently, and performing financial analyses. This is a full-time role that can be held from one of Figma's US hubs (SF or NY) or remotely within the United States. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, business operations, or a related analytical field, including 2+ years leading and developing high-performing teams - Proficiency in SQL and a history of partnering with Data Science teams to solve complex analytical problems - Deep experience in financial planning, forecasting, and driving insights through data-driven analysis - A structured, strategic thinker who can break down ambiguous problems and develop clear, actionable solutions - A track record of building new processes or scaling existing ones to improve efficiency and decision-making PLUS (not required): - Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, with bonus points for self-serve models
