Deliveroo's Global Safety and Security team is seeking a Manager of Protective Services to lead executive protection and physical security operations across EMEA. This hybrid role (up to 50% travel) is based in London and focuses on protecting company leadership, their families, and supporting operations across complex international markets.
Key responsibilities include:
**Intelligence & Travel Logistics**: Design and execute journey management plans for executive travel across EMEA, including route assessments, lodging vetting, pre-travel briefings, and on-the-ground protective coverage for movements into high-risk markets.
**Protective Strategy & Infrastructure**: Define long-term protective operations strategy for the EMEA region, conduct vulnerability assessments for executive residences and facilities, and convert findings into actionable security improvements aligned with global standards.
**Vendor & Team Leadership**: Build and manage a vetted network of in-country security providers, medical support partners, fixers, and diplomatic contacts. Manage vendor budgets and performance. Serve as direct manager and escalation point for Protective Services staff, scaling team structure as the program grows.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Extensive background leading protective operations and executive movements internationally, ideally in fast-moving or under-resourced markets
- Proven ability to translate threat intelligence into concrete logistics decisions and operational travel plans
- Strong program management experience with budget oversight and contract management for security providers
- People leadership experience with readiness to manage operational security teams
- Expertise in vulnerability assessments and working knowledge of physical security technologies (surveillance, access control, monitoring)
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Professional certifications (CPP, PSP, SIA Close Protection License, HEFAT)
- Experience with AI tools in security operations
- Crisis management and medical evacuation planning experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
