Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manager of Product Sourcing Engineering to lead supply chain strategy for the Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team. This role manages a team of sourcing engineers and subcontract managers, serving as the central point of contact for all supply chain needs during product development.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on supply continuity, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization. You will build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate complex commercial terms covering pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and warranty. The role requires collaboration with engineering, program management, finance, and production leadership to support strategic sourcing initiatives and achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
You will identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain health, and provide regular performance reports to management. Leadership responsibilities include hiring and developing world-class talent, providing guidance and training to team members, and proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain risks such as disruptions or market changes.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 5+ years in fast-paced manufacturing environments with supply chain or production focus on complex mechanical/electrical assembly; and 2+ years in a leadership or managerial position. Strong communication skills across organizational levels and ability to travel up to 20% are essential. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA or Master's degree in supply chain or engineering; prior experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries; proven leadership driving large teams; and demonstrated adaptability to support team progress.
