AiDASH is a climate-tech company leading the PreventionFirst movement for electric utilities, transforming grid resilience through a platform that unifies vegetation, asset, storm, and wildfire intelligence using satellite-first inspection and monitoring. The company serves over 200 customers and has been recognized by Forbes as one of America's Best Startup Employers for four consecutive years and by TIME as one of America's Top GreenTech Companies. The Manager of People & Culture role is a strategic, business-focused position that goes beyond traditional HR support. Rather than implementing policies and processes from day one, this role emphasizes deep listening, observation, and context-building about the company's vision, business model, teams, and individual motivations. Key responsibilities include: **Understanding Before Action**: Your first priority is building comprehensive context. You will spend time understanding how the business operates, where value is created, where teams struggle, and what truly motivates people at AiDASH. Only after establishing this foundation will you shape people practices. **Being a Real Business Partner**: You will work closely with business stakeholders as a thinking partner, not a support function. This means forming opinions, asking hard questions, and offering people-related advice grounded in business reality rather than HR theory alone. **Performance That Actually Means Something**: You will help translate business strategy into meaningful people decisions and outcomes, ensuring performance management and people initiatives directly support company objectives. **Building Trust Before Driving Change**: This role requires earning credibility and trust before implementing changes. You will read people beyond what they say aloud and translate that understanding into sound, practical decisions. The role is intellectually demanding and will stretch you to think deeply, act decisively, and own outcomes even in ambiguous situations. You will be expected to demonstrate business acumen, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence decisions at multiple organizational levels. The position operates in a hybrid model with flexibility to increase in-office presence as needed due to potential policy changes or critical seasonal deliverables. **Requirements**: The posting emphasizes qualities over specific credentials: deep understanding of business dynamics, strong people-reading ability, confidence in translating insights into people decisions, and comfort with ambiguity and ownership. Ideal candidates view People & Culture as a business-critical craft rather than a support function, and are excited rather than intimidated by the challenge of the role.
