As Manager of Payroll Connections, you will lead a dynamic team of Payroll Connection Specialists responsible for enabling payroll integrations and driving operational excellence. You'll manage a team focused on connecting clients across 400+ payroll providers while maintaining high velocity and exceptional customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of Payroll Connection Specialists, supporting their career growth and business objectives
- Serving as the primary escalation point for complex integration blockers and technical issues
- Defining team OKRs, performance metrics, and goals to drive productivity and quality
- Refining operational workflows to improve efficiency and scale capacity
- Investigating integration issues, identifying root causes, and implementing long-term solutions with cross-functional partners
- Acting as subject matter expert and primary liaison for payroll integrations, educating internal and external stakeholders
- Partnering across Human Interest to streamline 401(k) contribution processing
- Fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
You bring 3+ years of SaaS or retirement industry experience (payroll/401(k) processing preferred), 1-2+ years in a team lead or direct people management role, and a proven track record managing high-volume accounts and complex implementations. You excel at defining success metrics, streamlining operations, prioritizing competing demands, and executing in fast-paced environments. Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential. Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
