SmithRx is seeking a Manager of Partner Relationship Management to lead a high-performing team responsible for post-implementation success and strategic collaboration with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and Data Partners. This role combines direct people leadership with operational oversight of the partner ecosystem supporting pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services.
You will directly manage and develop a team of Partner Relationship Managers, providing day-to-day coaching on partner management strategies, issue escalation, conflict resolution, and executive communications. You'll establish clear KPIs and performance metrics focused on partner satisfaction, data integration execution, and retention. You'll manage team bandwidth and resource allocation to ensure optimal coverage across all partner relationships.
On the operational side, you'll serve as an executive escalation point for complex technical or relationship issues involving TPAs and Data Partners. You'll standardize PRM workflows, governance models, and best practices for technical data file exchange (EDI/ETL) monitoring and issue resolution. Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Client Success teams will be essential to eliminate systemic friction and champion partner-focused product enhancements.
You'll conduct regular portfolio reviews to proactively identify partner satisfaction risks and ensure robust risk-mitigation plans. You'll also drive partner adoption and standardization across new tools, products, and integrated workflows.
Required: 3+ years of direct people management experience leading client-facing or partner-facing teams (Customer Success, Account Management, or Partner Management). 5+ years in healthcare insurance, health benefits, or TPA environments. Strong working familiarity with technical data file exchanges (EDI, ETL, or API integrations). Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA, or equivalent preferred. Experience within a PBM is strongly preferred.
