Sennder is Europe's leading digital freight forwarder, modernizing road logistics through proprietary technology and automation. We're seeking a Manager Operations to lead our Amsterdam office and manage a team supporting one of our largest key customers.
In this role, you will own the full account and commercial relationship, including daily business execution, transport operations oversight, and proactive stakeholder management at both day-to-day and executive levels. You'll prepare business reviews, analyze performance data, and represent the account's interests internally and externally.
You'll lead a team of direct reports with a "player-coach" mindset—stepping into hands-on operational work when needed while maintaining strategic oversight. Responsibilities include delegating tasks, building efficient processes, holding the team accountable through data-driven performance management, managing escalations, and owning team culture and morale. You'll translate sensitive or complex situations into clear action plans and coordinate real-time team responses.
Required qualifications: fluent Dutch and English (verbal and written); 3–5 years in dynamic operational environments, ideally with people management experience; strong customer relationship-building skills with the confidence to push back on stakeholders when necessary; proven analytical ability to read performance data and drive actionable improvements; and genuine commitment to team culture and growth.
Logistics or supply chain experience is preferred but not required—strong operational profiles from other industries are welcome. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Sennder offers a dynamic scale-up environment where you'll have tangible impact on the logistics industry. We prioritize employee well-being through mental health initiatives (sennCare partnership with nilo), regular engagement surveys, and vibrant office spaces across Europe. Compensation includes base salary, performance bonuses, referral rewards, and potential equity. The role is 100% onsite in Amsterdam with regular cross-office collaboration across Europe.
