Altruist is a hyper-growth fintech platform transforming wealth management by empowering financial advisors with AI-driven tools. The company is building software that helps advisors work more efficiently, reduce costs, and serve more clients. As Manager of Transfer of Assets, you will lead Altruist's rapidly scaling Account Transfers team and own the complete ACATS and non-ACAT transfer function end-to-end. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be the firm's internal authority on transfer mechanics and operations. Key responsibilities include: - Owning the full account transfer lifecycle for incoming and outgoing ACAT, DRS, DWAC, and non-ACAT transfers, including initiation, validation, exception handling, asset delivery, settlement, claims, and residuals - Leading, coaching, developing, and hiring top talent while fostering a team culture that surfaces problems early, treats errors as learning opportunities, and shares expertise - Actively monitoring key metrics including individual productivity and quality, straight-through processing rates, rejection rates by type and reason code, SLAs, and processing times for daily workforce management and innovation prioritization - Driving operations-led innovation and process improvement through procedure changes and AI tooling implementation - Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to shape the transfer roadmap, write clear requirements, and validate releases - Developing and maintaining transfer policies and procedures, serving as the operational point of contact for internal audit, compliance, and regulatory examinations You bring 4+ years of hands-on experience in account transfers at a self-clearing broker-dealer, clearing firm, or custodian, with deep knowledge of transfer types, status codes, cycle timing, and asset-level handling. You have 1+ years of people management experience with a proven track record of helping individual contributors grow. You possess in-depth knowledge of FINRA Rule 11870 and NSCC rules, a strong record of process improvement and risk control implementation, and excellent communication skills. You're comfortable working with large datasets in Excel/Google Sheets and hold or are willing to obtain FINRA Series 7, 99, or 24 licenses.
