Constant Contact is seeking a Manager of Product & Data Analytics to lead a high-impact team of product analysts. In this role, you will go beyond reporting metrics to help the organization understand why performance changes occur and drive strategic consensus on what to do about it.
You will build a culture of analytical rigor and partner closely with leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, Growth, Marketing, and Finance to diagnose performance, evaluate product launches, and shape the product roadmap. Your team will use Snowflake and modern AI tooling (including Claude Code) to investigate root causes of metric movements—distinguishing between product experience changes, acquisition mix shifts, customer intent changes, pricing/onboarding impacts, and instrumentation issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring a high-performing team of product analysts, fostering intellectual curiosity and career development
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Business leaders to translate strategic questions into analytical agendas and manage the analytics backlog
- Guiding the team to investigate activation, engagement, conversion, retention, and monetization metrics to uncover root drivers
- Ensuring statistical and methodological rigor across all analyses, including proper handling of Simpson's paradox, selection effects, survivorship bias, and experimentation design
- Overseeing the definition and governance of trusted KPIs, leading indicators, metric trees, and customer segments
- Translating complex analyses into clear visuals, intuitive concepts, and actionable recommendations for VP and C-suite stakeholders
- Driving adoption of AI-native workflows (Claude Code, advanced SQL/Python) to multiply team efficiency while maintaining rigorous validation
This is not a dashboard ticket-queue or passive reporting role. The goal is to build an elite analytics unit that serves as a core engine for better product understanding and measurable business growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of experience in product analytics, growth analytics, or decision science
- 2+ years of direct people management or formal team leadership experience in technology, subscription, SMB, or consumer-facing business
- Demonstrated success recruiting, mentoring, and retaining talent; track record of leveling up analysts in statistical reasoning, product sense, and executive presence
- Deep mastery of activation, engagement, conversion, retention, churn, monetization, and LTV mechanics with practical judgment to decompose complex metric movements
- Strong foundation in experimentation, cohort analysis, hypothesis testing, sample sizing, and causal inference
- High proficiency in SQL and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks)
- Working knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis
- Enthusiasm for modern AI tools (Claude Code, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) paired with critical judgment to audit AI-generated code
- Exceptional product sense and business acumen; ability to understand downstream financial implications of user behavior
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills; comfort presenting to and pushing back on VP/C-suite stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with experimentation platforms (Statsig, Optimizely) and behavioral analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics)
- Experience with growth/acquisition analytics, lifecycle marketing, or dbt/modern metric transformation layers
- Educational background in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, or related quantitative field
- Experience in SMB tech, email/marketing technology platforms, or AI-powered product experiences
