Salary: USD 105,600 - 132,000 / annual

In this Manager role, you will lead ocean freight procurement strategy and execution for assigned trade lanes. Your responsibilities include: • Drive ocean carrier procurement activities, managing direct relationships with one or multiple carriers • Coordinate and negotiate annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly allocation procurement cycles • Develop and align trade lane carrier strategy with global team objectives • Build long-term partnerships with ocean carriers, leveraging Flexport's competitive advantages • Reduce procurement costs through strategic negotiation and optimization • Provide supply forecasting to meet demand requirements • Design and implement scalable procurement operating rhythms and tools • Collaborate with Technology teams on next-generation procurement systems • Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives globally • Share carrier and trade lane intelligence across the organization to improve decision-making and client engagement • Manage and develop a team of procurement associates • Lead cross-functional meetings with Procurement, Pricing, Planning, and District Management teams • Mentor and develop future ocean procurement talent at Flexport You will report into the Ocean Procurement leadership and work across multiple functions to deliver optimized results to the Ocean P&L. REQUIREMENTS: • 7+ years of ocean freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier, OR 7+ years of supply chain experience with a BA/BS degree • Strategic vision combined with ground-floor execution capability • Bias toward action, process, structure, and data-driven decision-making • Strong negotiation skills • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities • Obsession with client success and satisfaction • Willingness and ability to travel regionally, nationally, and internationally • Courage to challenge the status quo and drive improvements • Desire to lead, train, and develop emerging talent
